Marketing Mistakes

I recently read an article that highlighted many entrepreneurs entering a red ocean or perhaps a market that has competition have to beat the other guys in marketing.  This can be difficult for an entrepreneur, possibly because he or she does not specialize in the field.  There are three marketing mistakes that are commonly made among entrepreneurs and this could  be solved by making a few corrections.   Mistake number one is the return on the marketing spent is unknown.  Just spending money for an ad is not a good idea because it could be streamlined to make sure the ad is generating more new business than what is being spent.  The second mistake is that firms rely too heavily on their sales team to make sales when in a slump.  The sales need to preach the marketing, which should be clear and consistent sending the same message every time.  The third marketing mistake is an improper use of advertisements.  If a companies website looks like an ad with product features and pricing, there is an untapped resource.  Customers like to be informed of the product or service.  Knowledge and educating the  customer is very common and key to a successful marketing strategy.
